Digital Biology Lab Hosts Symposium on Bioinformatics and Machine Learning Alongside 20th Anniversary Celebration

Digital Biology Lab, September 4, 2023 — The Digital Biology Lab (DBL) recently hosted a symposium on September 2-3, 2023, titled the “Symposium on Bioinformatics and Machine Learning.” The event brought together approximately 90 attendees from local groups, leading industrial companies and academic institutions, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The symposium featured speakers who presented their groundbreaking research projects and explored cutting-edge topics at the intersection of bioinformatics and machine learning. This event served as a catalyst for valuable insights and discussions.

In addition to the symposium, DBL celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of innovation in digital biology. Dr. Dong Xu, Director of DBL, took the opportunity to review the lab’s history, highlighting its remarkable journey, contributions to the field, and training of next-generation researchers and developers. DBL members and alumni also enjoyed a video featuring old photos and cherished memories.
